Landscaping On The Village Streets

These planters made of pavers were just recently added to the downtown area.  The small one serves as a visual buffer in a no parking zone.  The longer one is to divert pedestrians to one side or the other as they leave the  Upper James St docks.

I hope they don't cause a problem with the cars trying to move around our village, I thought they tried those things before and it didn't work.

Critisize, Critisize, Critisize: what else is this site good for!! Oh, that's right a place for jim cummings to practice his anger management.

Criticize?
Personally I like the planters. The one at the Upper James St. dock serves a function to divert people back onto the sidewalks. Keeping them safely off James St.

I think the one by the dock looks really nice and should serve its purpose of getting people onto the sidewalk and out of the street. I'm not sure about the one in the no parking zone though. Wouldn't it have been easier to just paint some lines. It looks a little awkward - that's all.

Good use of tax payers dollars!! I, for one, am not proud... tsk tsk... This is like the decision to use cobble stone on the square in Waterown... now they have to be repaired, a mere two years later!!
