He and Mrs. Cur. were down at Casino Island listening to the Wednesday night Concert at the pavilion. He told me that the goose poop was ankle deep. All the flowers in the planters were dead. He also said that there is a ton of goose feathers, which he attributed to maybe some kind of a cock fight.

Personnally I dont see why the same guy that mows the island wouldnt follow up with a leaf blower to blow the " shiz" back in the river. Then what they need to do is install a raw water pump ( the river) spicot down there so they can hook up a small pressure washer when the need arises. ( plus water the plants)

When we argued and caloled the village board to clean up Casino Island Park, I expected them to hold the gains and replicate the service. I didn't think it was a one-shot deal.
Well, I guess I was wrong. It looks as bad as it ever did....

On the inland side of the island there's an old ramp. Blocking that off would probably go a long way towards keeping them off the island. Geese prefer to go were they can walk up. If that were fenced off they would need to fly in, which they don't like.

this is an embaressment to anyone who is a member of the village.to have a place such as a senic veiw park looking like a latrine for geesse is not the kind of inpression the village want's to leave on are visiter's.the vilage board member who is responsable for the matence of the park should get it together and do the job it take's to keep it in top notch.
I believe the excess amount of feathers this time of year is due to molting?
