I Want ALL The News....

NY TIMES: All The News That's Fit To Print
Rolling Stone Magazine: All The News That Fits

And then there is the TI Sun!  How does a reporter go to last weeks village board meeting and not mention the main topic of public concerns.  Have any of you read this weeks Sun?  The main headline reads:

Deadline Looming, Village Stalls Police Chief Decision
My question!  Where was the coverage of the high powered sniper rifle [300 Win Mag] being used  to euthanize a dog on on Bolton Ave!  The reporter went on to cover the bullshit sign ordinance issues for the River Edge etc...But not one peep about the rifle/dog incident.  Where did that story end up?  ON THE EDITING ROOM FLOOR thats where.  I call that CENSORSHIP.  What do you think of that COMMRADES

Draw your own conclusions as to why this information was skipped in the SUN

Typical fluff coverage for the SUN. Wouldn't want to ruffle any feathers. It's much safer to report about Aunt Bea's visit and her pot roast dinner.

Some people don't like to cause trouble. The Sun is a nice, hometown newspaper. I think enough of the Bay's dirty laundry gets aired in the two websites and even the WDT. This is a tourist town that needs tourists to survive. Why must we always make a joke out of our town/village?

Not making a joke and I do see your point....

The TI Sun has a past of not reporting negative issues if you will. They post the hometown news wiht the thought of all who read it. Keeping our village in a good lime light. We do not need another escape to the bad and negative news. I think personally it is good this way. I would take it offensive to read something that is "bad" like shooting an animal in ones back yard etc. That news gets around very well all by itself. Thank you for letting me voice my thought.
