All I Wanted Was a LEMON!

I do most of my grocery shopping at Aldi's.  It is convenient for me and cheaper.  Yesterday I was on my way home and realized I had forgot to pick up a lemon.  I was having a good day until I found myself face to face with my least favorite check out person at our local grocery store.  I paid a dollar for the lemon and got back my penny change.  The check out person said have a nice day.  I know she did not mean it.  I also know she could give a hoot whether I live or die.  So I tuned her "have a nice day" out.  I just muttered "yup" and walked away.  She waited till I was just about out the door and then I heard Thanks I Will Too [have a nice day].  I guess she just could not leave it alone.  I guess I can not either.

In all "fairness" to our local grocery store, we too had an issue with an employee being rude and obnoxious to the point that we stopped going in there. I finally discussed the issue with two of the people in charge and the young lady currently has a job somewhere else. I'm pretty sure she was NOT let go, but she doesn't work there any longer, so now we do try and buy local when we can. HOWEVER, what irritates the crap out of me is when, in checking out you overhear the cashiers bashing customers who are in the store. I find that very unprofessional and rude. Someone needs to do a customer service refresher with the point being made that customers make it possible for them to have their job, so that old addage about the customer always being right serves a purpose. And if you don't like a customer, KEEP IT TO YOURSELF!

I haven't been in there in 2 and a half years and that is no shit. I refuse to step foot in the place.

I'm tying to figure out which employee you're writing about. There are about ten of them that act like that. One won't speak to me, even at the gas window. Two others, I wish wouldn't talk at all. I don't even ask for shaved baloney.

Then quit complaining/whinning and go somewhere else.
There are many nice local employees there also.
You know what they say about one bad apple like one bad blogger.

I stopped complaining/whining when I wrote my last sentence. Yes your right, there are a couple long time employees who are very nice, one of which is my neighbor. I also enjoyed chatting with the part time relatives that worked over the winter. I am not a bad blogger, just an angry one ;)

When buying food to put into your body, I would be more concerned about what I am getting then how the people treat me! China and 3rd world shit is what I worry about.
