From Your Former Mayor Pat's Update 10/5/2008 4pm Watching the Giants play football on tv, woking on my computer, wondering if this is all real? Don't quite know how to thank all of you for your thoughts, prayers and just being there. It looks like my new liver and I are getting along, eating is unbelievable, foods I thought I would never taste again. I watch the river cams every morning and can't wait to be on the river again. The care here at Strong is nothing short of remarkable. Doctors, nurses etc. all go the extra steps to make sure you are a comfortable as you can be. It looks like Tues release and local stay till Thurs clinic and home on thurs. is now the plan. This is when we realize how wonderful a small town or village is, a connection you lose in larger populations. I can't wait to see all of you, friends, family and river people. See you all soon Patrick Simpson
