Alexandria Central Seeks Spending Cuts was the headline in yesterday's WDT.........The school district will hold a budget workshop at 5:30 p.m. March 11 at the library. The budget hearing will be May 12 in the school auditorium. The vote is May 19.
Think back a few years ago and our School Board came out with a budget at about 6%. Very few objected to that percentage. The budget was presented, voted on and ratified. After a few months had passed, the word got out that the budget was wrong. No it was not in our favor. The school board with some executive session sleight of hand changed the budget from 6% to just over 13%.
