It was supposed to be the Bill Johnston's Pirate Days Parade. There is 1 main character in this theme and that is the Pirate Bill Johnston. The mayor is a secondary support character. Historically the mayor at the time is unknown and probably did not even exist. Last weekend Captain Fat Bastard entertained us all by playing the role of Mayor. And he did it well.
This weekend is another story. The mayor is desperate and needed to steal the show. Sorry all you pirates but you will play second fiddle to the mayor. It is all about him......don't ya know! Not sure what he was thinking when he climbed up on that fire truck. But he came across as an arrogant king or dictator. Below is a slide show. Oh BTW mr mayor........President Obama walked during his inaugural parade.......you must be more important than him.....

Jim, dig deep in your repertoire over the last 5 years and you will see that your current Mayor played the role of Mayor during Pirates Days long before he took office (while Pat was in office). You yourself took movies of him playing that role and posted it on your blog last year. Why all of the sudden are you trying to call him an arrogant dictator when he is doing nothing more than he did the last 5 years. Oh by the way he has represented the village of Alexandria Bay as a FIREMAN and EMT for over 20 years, I think that alone gives him the right to climb aboard the Firetruck anytime he damn well pleases. What positive things have you done for your community? You critisize the your him every chance you get and you critisize the Police Chief for visiting the Mayor's house, how quiclky you forget that you used to spend an aweful lot of time there yourself when you considered him a friend. I made the decision to stay out of the village business when he took office because quite honestly I dont live there anymore and have no plans of ever returning to live there but when you blatently insult my family and use words like "Dictator" in reference to my family....well then you have crossed another line and I will absolutely get involved!
