....That's a lot of gas, no matter how much it cost per gallon. I never got free gas to drive from my house to work, or anywhere else.
Seems his LAWYERS are arguing the price, rather than, "WHERE EXACTLY DID ALL THAT GASOLINE GO???"

Wow! eighteen gallons at 5am and 4 gallons at 2pm the same day?
Didn't anyone notice him riding in on his lawn mower??
I thought Sutton's salried job was as Town Budget Officer. Since when do they get free gas to drive to work every day?
Maybe he should be running for King of Alexandria?

Why doesn't the town conceder buying a economical car for the Town Supervisor to drive that can be only used for business purposes and have a daily log book to go along with it to keep accurate records on daily usage, mileages, maintenance and gas use.I feel the supervisor doesn't need to use there own personal vehicle, especial one that only get 15 miles a gallon. This would alleviate this kind of problem, because I feel it is going to happen again, maybe not on purpose but a judgment call on how much should be used.

Give a man enough rope and he'll hang himself. The next thing Sampie will be doing is suing the Town for entrapping him to take the gas. Instead of his lawyer debating the cost per gallon of the gas he took it might be more prudent to calculate how much Sampie owes the Town for his own personal use. Even after getting caught red handed with his hand in the cookie jar he has the gall to threaten the Town with legal recourse. Like the Dukes of Hazard, "just good old boys, wouldn't change if they could". I guess that Sampie missed the line, "that's just a little bit more than the law will allow". He should fess up, reimburse the Town, apologize to the taxpayers and take his legal medicine.
