Old Chamber Building

The VB set a cap for advertising the sale of this property at $500.00.  The VB wants to try and sell this property without a realtor.  The parcel will be advertised in area papers from here to Rochester.  In addition the ads will be placed on the Village website and on Craiglist.  Good luck............just hire a realtor.  Save the 500 hundred bucks and put it towards road salt or hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza and beer at the next few VB meetings.  Maybe some more of the D or R candidates might show up to the meetings.  BTW some of the usual spectators were absent tonight,  where were you?

Oops, I was out of the country, with my daughter. We spent the day in Kingston,ON, after a ferry ride from Cape Vincent.
Caution...if you cross Wolfe Island by car, you're in for a surprise. There is a five mile detour over unpaved roads that leave about a hundred pounds of wet limestone slurry on your vehicle.
Also, check out the wind tower construction going on over there, and tell me you want that in your back yard. Ugh! What a mess.

curmudgeon--Why do you attend VB meetings- your not a tax payer or a residence/property owner-just a pain in the behind. Your inlaws own your ice cream stand property. Just doing your best to keep things in an uproar.

Why don't you stay on Wellesley Island-Oh I forgot your hated there tooooooooooooo.

"Oh I forgot your hated there tooooooooooooo".
I am starting to see a pattern with your comments, the generalized everyone hates so and so.
If what you say is true, then tell me why the VB members frequently ask for Cur's opinions during the meetings.

I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed man [woman]. Go away

To Anonymous....thanks a lot, and I was knitting you a sweater for Christmas. Forget it.
I would like to think that I would be welcome at any PUBLIC MEETING, same as you.
I don't think trying to get the VB interested in a few downtown improvement projects rises to the Uproar level, but that's your opinion.
What exactly is it that you do for the community, Alexandria Bay or anywhere else?
So, who are you, if you don't mind my asking, and why all the vitriol? Did I give you a liver flavored ice cream cone by mistake?

I was reminded that I am to attend VB meetings now as I have again decided to take another run for trustee. Sorry!, was in Watertown with my Father for his Docter Appt. and did not get out of the office till 5:30pm. Also thought VB mtgs were open to the public, not just tax payers, Anonymous? Steve Jarvis

Welcome to the blog Steve. Contructive or inquisitive comments from the public at VB meetings are always welcome. Negative ones are not. Evidently the VB is more tolerant than I am......
